This website has been produced for the benefit of companies, research establishments, government agencies and other organizations with which QTech is now, or plans to be in contact with as possible strategic partners, manufacturers or user licensees for its QTECH-ID technology.

While it is to be hoped that it will serve adequately as a general introduction to our company and our mission, we recognize that it cannot possibly satisfy all requirements and accordingly, the reader's comments and further inquiries are invited.

Management

  • John F Johnston
    CEO, Managing Director

    During the past 16 years, John has gained broad management experience from major multinational companies in specific areas of operations, corporate finance and engineering. His focus has been on cost control, operational efficiency, and logistical and management planning. His business planning, time management and organizational implementation experiences have sharpened his analytical and interpersonal skills and given him keen insight into successful corporate management structures. These have shaped his understanding and belief that each organization must align its management requirements with the right people to ensure correct execution strategies are adopted and monitored if planned objectives are to be achieved.

    John’s main focus will be in product development and enhancements during the pre-commercialization. After product launch, John’s role will be overseeing and guiding the Technical Analyst Group and administration.

    John received his B. Eng. Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Royal Military College, and his M.B.A. Finance and Operations from Queen’s University.

  • J. Randall McCormick

    Randy McCormick brings extensive experience in financial services with previous positions as President, CFO, Controller and GM in industries within financial and insurance markets, venture capital, and Golf Course development. Randy presently is President and CEO of delSECUR CORPORATION, a publicly traded NASDAQ company and this experience in security regulations will benefit the Board during the growth years. Randy has held positions on various Boards of Directors and has been the founder of successful companies within the insurance and mutual fund industry. Randy owned and managed his own Mutual Fund Distribution Company in the nineties and led a sales force of over 60 representatives before he sold the company to Caisse de Depot, the Quebec Pension Fund, in 1999.

    Randy will oversee Marketing and Sales, providing direction and cohesion to the team. As the leader of Marketing, input pre-commercialization will be critical for branding and logos and developing the selling strategies that will be implemented. After product launch, Randy will oversee all major sales presentations and personally handle the largest accounts.

    Formal education with B. Comm., and extensive certification within the Financial Planner arenas: LUATC Diploma, CLU diploma, CFC-CHFC Certification and Financial Planner of Quebec Diploma.

  • Nelson Leite
    Chief Technology Officer, Director

    Nelson Leite brings to the team a strong engineering ‘forensic’ ability developed over a period of 16 years within the vision, lighting and imaging fields. Nelson developed some of the first machine vision for robot guidance systems as well as interlaced multi image / function algorithms for qualification and identification purposes. Nelson has managed Technology and Automation companies as President, with a dossier that includes multi-national corporations. Nelson has received numerous nominations and accolades for his work in Advancements within the Technology field.

    Nelson will lead the Technology Group and act as liaison with Johnston as the Chief Technological Officer. His focus will be on Team direction, leading Research and Development, product development inclusive of cost control, operational efficiency, and logistical and management planning.

    Formal education within the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering and Electronics Engineering from University of Waterloo, Business Development from Wilfred Laurier University and Robotics and Automation from Conestoga College.
